It appears from your list they engaged local people (mending, washing, baking) a great deal. I also love how the meals change as they are close to ovens for baking when they are near towns. Would the villagers have been grateful for these visitations by large retinues? Wonderful, thanks. You can feed them several days old bread that had dried and is free of mould.<br /><br />Oh, and the earls furs?
