My latest book, Following in the Footsteps of Edward II, is out now in the UK. It's a guide to Edward II and his reign via the places that were important in his life: his birthplace of Caernarfon, the battlefield of Bannockburn and Stirling Castle, Kenilworth Castle, where he was forced to abdicate his throne to his son, Berkeley Castle, where he supposedly met his death in 1327, and many others. It's shorter than my other books and is meant as a primer for people who'd like to learn more about Edward and his reign but perhaps aren't interested in reading a full biography, and is also intended for readers who'd like a tour guide to places in Britain associated with Edward II. So if you're planning a trip around Britain and are looking for historical sites to visit and places that Edward would have known, this one's for you. It's available on: Amazon; Book Depository (which has free worldwide delivery); the publisher, Pen&Sword; and other online retailers.
There are other titles published by Pen&Sword in the Following in the Footsteps series: the Princes in the Tower, Henry Tudor (i.e. Henry VII), and Oliver Cromwell.

My copy has arrived! A great read:)
This is a book which all the Edward fans must get. If for no other reason then just to get to know the places which still can be seen and visited.
Sounds like an interesting book ... do you think you might ever be able to host an "Edward II tour"?
Esther
Thanks, Anerje, so glad you're enjoying it! :-)
Sami, yes, it's great that places which Edward knew can be visited!
Esther, that'd be great!
Fabulous! Are there also the locations from Italy, where Edward II allegedly lived after his "murder" at Berkeley? Also, Kathryn, could you please write about fashion in the times of Edward II? I'm curious! Good luck and congratulations!
Hello! :-) Yes, there's an epilogue covering Italy and Spain, and other countries associated with Edward for various reasons (I would have written more on Italy but the publisher's brief was UK only). Ooooh, fashion...could try to do a post on that sometime though I'm not great on it :-)
Hi :D That's great Kathryn, I'm looking forward to reading your book. It will be fun to follow in Edward's footsteps. Also, I'm looking forward for your post about fashion! Whenever I try to imagine a historical person, the first thing I think about it's their clothing, hairstyle etc. Helps to understand them better, I feel, or at least place them in a context.
